Field visits are organized to study natural habits and habitat of animals.
Guest lectures are organized on various advance topics to make the students aware of recent developments in the subject.
Academically poor students are selected from class and special guidance is given for improving academic performance.
Meritorious students are encouraged by providing them special coaching for scoring maximum marks in examination.
Faculty regularly updates academic standard by attending orientation and refresher courses and by participating in seminars & conferences.
Teacher-guardian scheme is adopted by the department.
Financial assistance and concessions are given to economically poor students, especially in attending educational tours.
The faculty organizes intra class students seminar competition, conducts educational tours, field visits, habitat study and insect collection.
Scientific industries like Tissue culture laboratory, Paper & pulp industry, Dairy Technology College, Amrut Dhara Milk Dairy and Mineral Water Plant are usually visited.
Mr. Chetan Chandrakant Chintawar scored 143/150 marks (90%) in subject Zoology during S2, B.Sc. I examination of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. He tops the University in subject.
